Liveblogging Super-Duper-Fat-Monsoon-Tsunami Tuesday 8:54 pm

One of the stories of this Super Tuesday is going to be the impact of the other names on the Democratic ballot. Especially in Southern and Midwestern states, it appears as though there is a large percentage of voters who voted for a white male who isn’t in the race anymore as opposed to a female or black male. What does this mean for the eventual nominee?

I think it is good for Obama in terms of delegates, but looking at the general, it doesn’t look good for either Obama or Hillary.

Could the CW that a voter who wouldn’t consider voting for a female or African-American isn’t a Democrat be wrong?

I always thought so. The Eastern establishment often forgets, in terms of values and status, that the core of the Democratic party is blue-collar, traditional workers. These people don’t like faith-bashing and they certainly would rather vote for a white male then a minority.

Let’s see who has the courage to bring it up…

 

GOP Ticket

Ok… So if Hillary was to get the Dem Nomination, a McCain/Huckabee Ticket would make perfect sense…and it would be , in my opinion, victorious.

However, if Obama gets the nomination, the qualities and attributes of a McCain/Huck ticket are not as needed. What would be needed is a running mate to further accentuate foreign policy issues. For that reason, and for others, and you may want to mark the date and time of this prediction:

McCain/Rice.

He will at least make the offer.

Mark my words.

I love you all and have fun watching Obama and McCain win tonight. Also, have fun watching Romney get beat by larger proportions than we thought he would. And, finally, enjoy the Huck getting in third, creaming Giuliani.

 

Watch Out!

I think Obama will get at least 48 today. If he gets 50+ and Hillary gets 25 or less, the pressure will be on for her to drop out. I also think that if Obama gets 50 and John Edwards gets beat by 5+ by Hillary, he may take a look at the polls and decide to drop out.

I think Obama should offer him to be head of a new body to fight poverty.

No matter what, following today, the establishment will start going to Obama. 3-4 Senators will endorse before Nevada.

I will have an entry tonight or tomorrow looking at the race.

 

Hillary Attacks

Hillary’s strategy as a loser has come to two main tactics:

Playing the gender card more obviously and unabashedly than ever

and

Attacking Obama and Edwards with a viciousness and intellectual flexibility that only a Clinton could accomplish.

There are a few reasons why these attacks won’t work in NH:

1)NH votes in 48 hours. Too little, too late for Hill.

2)She is attacking Obama for voting for things she herself voted for. For example, funding the war, the PATRIOT act…
3)Her attacks are ignoring reality. For instance, Obama said when he campaigned that he would have voted against the PATRIOT Act that followed 9/11, not the stronger, more patriotic one that was passed later.  Hillary can’t handle the fact that Obama is a better candidate and would be a better President than herself.

Well, I said it in the beginning, the trial lawyer in Edwards was going to come out. He is having one heck of a debate and he is very good when he needs to be.

This debate is an absolute mess. It will be fascinating to see the coverage. The only candidate who hasn’t gone against every other candidate on the stage is Bill Richardson who has laid off Hillary.

Obama has done will amidst all of the attacks, he frankly hasn’t had enough time to rebut all of them, which is Clinton’s strategy.

As anyone noticed how serious the Democratic candidates are as opposed to the big joke-a-thon the Republican debate was. That is because Republicans are aloof when it comes to America having any problems at all. At least they’re on their game when it comes to seeing everything wrong with Democrats.

Surprise! The biggest hit on Obama was landed by the moderator, just like in the CNN debate with Blitzer.

Hillary just made a very viable point about the idea that proposing something that isn’t going to pass isn’t worth a dime.

Hillary just nailed Obama and Edwards. She is really picking up steam here. That hurts Obama.

Whoa! Hillary did the best job of making the case for her presidency in the start of this segment. Obama did well in response, but wasn’t given enough time to respond to everything. They need to slam her for this electability nonsense.

Obama handled Clinton’s first attack very well. And now Clinton’s coming for round two.

Now, before I say this, I have to mention that I do not like John Edwards…but I LOVE JOHN EDWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He hammered Clinton SOOOOOO BBBBBAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obama did well responding to Clinton and he passed it on to Edwards to hammer her.

And now Clinton looks desperate. She is literally screaming.

Obama did a great job on that follow-up bringing in Iraq. If you caught that look on Edwards’ face, he is trying to think of how he could look and sound and be as presidential as Obama was during that response. The trial lawyer in Edwards will come out in this debate.
