LA Debate

“I think Hillary would be on anyone’s short list.”

I think that was the reverse “you’re likable enough” comment.

He just undid all damage from that comment a couple debates ago.

He goes to the Detroit Automakers and talks about a carbon cap and he goes to Hollywood and talks about the responsibility of the industry…I love Obama.

What might not show up in anaylsis, but what may have been Clinton’s best moment, is when after Blitzer asked her if she was naive, Obama was about to answer, when Clinton told him that she was going to answer.

Was not a good moment for Obama. His follow-up was great though.

Also, it is horribly ironic that CNN will ask questions about character, and then air a special the next week about how awful the politicians are for attacking each other’s character.

I’m sorry, I’ve tried to be balanced, but the fact that this woman can utter that she doesn’t want to be advantaged by her husband, and then rattle of his achievements and say that her presidency will “clean up” after a Bush just like her husband’s did, is the same kind of double-talk that she uses when talking about her gender, and the same kind of politics we need to do away with.

Senator Obama should have known better than to bring up the driver’s license debate. Did he think Hillary would have forgotten his convoluted response merely a couple weeks after?

Hillary Clinton got her first real swipe in at Obama

“Actually, I co-sponsored comprehensive immigration reform in 2004 when Senator Obama wasn’t even in the Senate yet.”

Senator Obama just made a major move. He could have taken the bait and played the black vs. white card, instead he reached a major olive branch to Hispanics.

That was absolutely huge and a very good way to answer a question that on the surface, could have put Obama in a situation he didn’t want to be in.

Obama just got the first dig in on John McCain and it was a good one.

“Somewhere along the line, the Straight Talk Express lost its wheels.”

Very Strong.

Of course, Hillary Clinton knows how well-funded the health insurance companies are because its their lobbyists who fund her campaign.

Hillary Clinton had a good answer on health care, accusing Obama of taking the politically convenient position. She is attacking his perceived weakness: readiness, and his perceived strength: authenticity.

Of course, both of her attacks were rebutted by the Senator in his response, and bringing up bringing the country together and bringing in the American people, two things Senator Clinton is not capable of doing.
